Enabling Secondary Format in the Document Type

  1. From the SmartSolve Portal Page, click the Home tab.
  2. In the Document Management section of the list, select Document Type.
    Result: The Document Types list window is displayed.
  3. Click the Type link of the document type to be edited.
    Result: The Document Type record is displayed.
  4. Click Action > Edit.
    Result: The Document Type entry window is displayed.
  1. Click the Secondary Format drop down arrow and select one of the following:
  2. Disabled - Secondary format will not be used.
  3. Enabled - Secondary format will be used, but the secondary file must be saved manually by the author prior to checking the document into the system.
  4. Auto Sync - secondary format will automatically be created by the system in .pdf format.
  5. Click the Save button.
    Result: The changes have been saved and the Document Type record is displayed.
